Kindergarten : There are more than 11 different Kindergartens for young children. In the internet at :

A family library card costs 12,50 Euro per year.
A library card for children, students or nannys costs 2,50 Euro.
Our outdoor swimming pool, „das Waldschwimmbad“ is open daily from May until October from 09:00 to 19:00. The pool is just outside the city limits on the Weilstraße road, (the L 3041) direction Schmitten. Bike and foot access trails are shown on the city map.
German classes :
There are several different possibilities to learn german .
In the „Bürgerbüro“ you can pick up an information sheet about the different courses available.
Katalogs with information about the classes in the „Volkshochschule“ can be found in many shops as well as in the „Bürgerbüro”. If you have questions about the different classes or registration, please call Annette Dröge in Neu-Anspach (after 15:00) 06081/8951. If you would like to know which class is the right one for you, please call the VHS in Bad Homburg at Tel. 06172-23006 to make an appointment for an assessment test, or contact Herr Bender at the VHS at Tel. 06172-925719 or E-mail : bender.vhs@bad-homburg.de for counseling.

Did you know that .........? :
In Germany, snow and ice must be cleared off of sidewalks by the residents.
The town playgrounds are open from 8:00 to 13:00, and from 15:00 to 20:00. Ask for a town map in the „Bürgerbüro“ so you can discover our many playgrounds for children.
From 13:00 until 15:00 on weekdays is „quiet time“. On Sundays and national holidays, the entire day is a „quiet day“. You can enjoy these peaceful days without any lawn mowers, basketballs …
In Germany, garbage is separated!
Old furniture pick up, wooden garbage pick-up, as well as metal and electronic trash is picked up only on certain days. One must sign up for these services one week before the scheduled passage with the Frankfurt Garbage Service the “FES”. The objects to be discarded must be placed on the sidewalk at least one day prior to pick up. The “FES” trucks will only pick up the items at residents that signed up, so be sure to phone or write an e-mail at least one week prior to pick up.

Calendars with the scheduled pick ups are available in the “Service Center” or “Bürgerbüro”. Residents automatically receive a new calendar at the end of December for the upcoming year.
